Pitch Black Cthulhu

Pitch Black Cthulhu is a simple and brutal Lovecraftian tabletop RPG focused on dungeon crawls as you play as investigators in a grimdark. eldritch-fueled post-World War II-era world. 

Pitch Black Cthulhu aims to offer players and GMs a chance to experience an authentic yet classic Lovecraftian horror feel akin to the books. Players are thrown into dungeons - closed-off spaces that have scarce resources, minimal light and require teamwork or critical thinking to survive. Abandoned bunkers, mine shafts, house ruins, and trenches are the most likely places that players will enter and investigate. Encounters are rare, but enemies are always present, giving you the creeping sense of danger every time you breathe. Consequences are dire and punishing, lending you that desperate feeling and puts you at the mercy of the narrative itself. Moreover, each session is designed to last from 1-3 hours only, with the game being a hack of DURF by Emiel Boven.
